How it works
The viewer decodes the file in your browser and reconstructs its hierarchy, quantities, prices, decompositions and measurements. It never uploads or edits the source file.
What is a BC3 file?
BC3 is the file extension of FIEBDC-3, the open Spanish standard for exchanging construction budgets and cost databases between estimating programs. It is a plain-text format, so a budget travels between tools without either side owning the other's software.
- Hierarchy — chapters and sub-chapters down to individual positions (partidas), each with a code, description and unit.
- Quantities and prices — the measured quantity, unit price and resulting amount for every position.
- Decomposition — the labour, machinery and materials that make up a unit price, with yields and coefficients.
- Measurements — the dimension lines behind a quantity: units, length, width and height.
- Specification and metadata — the written spec attached to a position, plus file entities, dates and BIM/IT codes.

No. The viewer runs in any modern browser, so you can read a budget someone sent you without a licence for the estimating program it came from.
What is the difference between BC3 and FIEBDC-3?
They are the same thing in practice: FIEBDC-3 is the name of the standard, BC3 is the file extension it uses.
Can I edit or recalculate the budget?
No. This is a read-only viewer — it does not edit, recalculate, compare versions or export. It shows you what the file contains.
Does this import the budget into PinMy?
No. The PinMy app does not read BC3 files. This is a standalone tool for opening and printing a budget you already have.
